My apologies, Japundit. This was an error on my part - I got the two sites mixed up.

omae mona wrote:As I've increased my use of RSS feed aggregators over the last year, I've noticed that FG is very rarely the "breaking news" site. Somebody else usually has interesting/funny stories first (except for posts from Mulboyne).

You are absolutely correct.

omae mona wrote:Now that doesn't mean Japundit wasn't grabbing stuff from FG. But it seems possible that both sites got the info from the same 3rd web site, with both authors not attributing the source.

There are more than two and a half years of archives on JAPUNDIT that show we attribute our sources.

omae mona wrote:For what it's worth, I just looked at Japundit's page for the first time, and right in the middle of it is a story that credits "Mulboyne at FG".

And if you look back even further we credited FG when we reported on the post here about the Dokto label on the KAL TV screen on the flight one of your readers took from Korea to Japan (http://japundit.com/archives/2007/07/18/6524/) and on numerous other occasions.

You know, this is not the first time that I have seen some member of FG attempting to stake some sort of claim on stories that appeared originally in a newspaper or via some other publicly available news source.

Something to consider... A person does not read FG but reads the same newspapers or other news sources that the contributors to FG read... Now, that person writes up an article that appeared in one of those newspapers or other news sources after someone writes up the same article from the same news source on FG... Get it?

They are my posts. Charles is my alter-ego for times that I have uncontrollable urges to babble incessantly about my "experiences", discuss my fucked up family, ramble on about my religion, or just quote random "facts" that I pull out of my ass.

Well, since you're so smart, why don't you teach us how to say douche bag in Japanese? I'd just like to know how to properly address you.

And, by the way, there was no error in what I originally posted. If you want to be a literalist prick, show me where I was mistaken.

Now that this discussion has followed the classical path of digression from the facts of the matter, to silly accusations of "poor tone" (which always are indicative of a weak, if not totally non-existent argument), to even sillier attempts at lawyering of the truth (which always are proof positive of a weak, if not totally non-existent argument), I guess there is nothing left for me to do except to declare victory in this debate and move on.

As far as who said what to whom and the "tone" of each side's argument, both are a matter of public record in the notes we posted here and so I trust that people will be able to decide on those issues for themselves.

You could post better pics of hookers. Let's face it: this thread has not had enough pics and you are partly responsible for this.

I'm surprised that with all your experience in to the blogasphere you would allow your self to fall in to a one-on-one confrontation. This is always a non-winnable position, as neither side is likely to concede and the introduction of more and better evidence will not help. So what ever, it's always a no-win situation and besides that, my dick is bigger than yours!

This shunga attributed to Kuniyoshi is purported to be set in England and shows three curly-haired Englishwomen doing a samurai. I had a higher rez image but it won't upload to FG, sorry.

I should have attributed it to the commercial gallery where I found it during some random surfing, but there's hardly anything up on that site.
