As I've increased my use of RSS feed aggregators over the last year, I've noticed that FG is very rarely the "breaking news" site. Somebody else usually has interesting/funny stories first (except for posts from Mulboyne).

You are absolutely correct.

Now that doesn't mean Japundit wasn't grabbing stuff from FG. But it seems possible that both sites got the info from the same 3rd web site, with both authors not attributing the source.

There are more than two and a half years of archives on JAPUNDIT that show we attribute our sources.

For what it's worth, I just looked at Japundit's page for the first time, and right in the middle of it is a story that credits "Mulboyne at FG".

And if you look back even further we credited FG when we reported on the post here about the Dokto label on the KAL TV screen on the flight one of your readers took from Korea to Japan (http://japundit.com/archives/2007/07/18/6524/) and on numerous other occasions.


You know, this is not the first time that I have seen some member of FG attempting to stake some sort of claim on stories that appeared originally in a newspaper or via some other publicly available news source.

Something to consider... A person does not read FG but reads the same newspapers or other news sources that the contributors to FG read... Now, that person writes up an article that appeared in one of those newspapers or other news sources after someone writes up the same article from the same news source on FG... Get it?

I'm surprised that with all your experience in to the blogasphere you would allow your self to fall in to a one-on-one confrontation. This is always a non-winnable position, as neither side is likely to concede and the introduction of more and better evidence will not help.
