When I was teaching full time, I didn't get any students through findateacher. But they were also just starting out, I lived outside of Tokyo, and my fees might have been too high for the poor, independantly wealthy Japanese that pay no rent and live at home.

There's no hurt in signing up, but I wouldn't depend on it for your income.

They claim to give free airfare and a rent-free apt., but I think that it's only limited to Korea. I haven't explored the site much, though, so you never know.
