Welcome aboard.
That expat Package better be sweet since you already have the primary reason for coming here, Hermes-san.
(PS: WOTS a "MN type - not the AZN".)
keirnna wrote:Well I just found the forums a few days ago. I lived in Japan from 9/2001 to 9/2003 and learned almost no Japanese. I moved from Okinawa to Hawaii and lived there for another year and a half. I then returned home to Indiana to work for 6 months. I got a job offer to come back here in October and I arrived on 10/24. I plan to live here as long as possible. I've taught myself Hirigana and Katakana in a couple weeks, and I've started learning Kanji's. I plan to travel to other parts of Japan as often as possible.

Just found your site. I am delighted to be with you. I am over 60 and live in Paris with my Vietnamese wife, but I worked closely with Japanese people and was taught to love and respect Japanese culture and art. After meeting a Zen Buddhist priest in Paris (Taisen Deshimaru Sensei) I was impressed by the philosophy (I am a traditional Catholic, and so is my wife), and with the passing of time, my love and admiration for things Japanese has only increased.
The name I use to be with you, "Nezumi", was my cat's name as she was mouse-grey in colour. I still miss her very much.
I shall be glad to get in touch with modern Japan.
With my friendly regards.
