WIfe's Wallet was Stolen in The Boonies

Postby Big Booger » Thu Jul 28, 2005 1:22 pm

Now this just goes to show you the state of affairs in Japan... people break into locked cars now to get a wallet with 1-man yen in it.. They did over 3-man in damage to the car to get to the fucking wallet... we have cancelled our credit cards, getting her a new menkyosho, and we're needing to have her door lock repaired... what a joke.

We called the park to see if they had a camera in the parking lot... this being the boondocks, they didn't. The lady who answered the phone said they posted a sign about theft.

This is a bunch of BULL SHIT.

Blinky's office has issued a statement that since there was a sign posted the perp was undoubtably a FG, because only FGs steal and no FG's can read J-signs

Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

The south island

The word is from boondocks (originally from Tagalog I think), in this case meaning out in the country of even jungle, kind of like the outback would mean across the pond from you!

Yeah, gboothe is trying to show off his knowledge (which he probably googled up anyway). It just means out in the country. He is right that it comes from Tagalog though.

Yanks in slang refer to anything away from the big city (or Mt. Manganui) as out in the boonies. As I say, I believe it came from a Philippino Tagalog word for jungle. We just use it primarily to confuse Kiwi's!

I stand corrected, but it is still handy to confuse Kiwi's.

Actually, I am a Kiwi fan. Any bird that only goes out in the night has got to be okay in my book!

Actually, that's why I use a 40GB iPod in the car. No fuss, no clutter of CDs, no sorting. It's hidden in the car, but generally I take it out when I park the car anyway.
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

We went to the Koban, filled out a report, had the car finger-printed *no prints were found... While we were at the Koban another lady came in with the same scenario. Her lock had been punched in and everything was stolen, her wallet, purse, cell phone... and she hadn't even called to cancel anything...

The cops dubbed today, Dorobo Day....

I hope karma gets these scumbag(s)...

It took most of our day to sort this mess out.. I had to take my wife to Akashi to get her menkyosho and so on sorted... then to the koban, then to the car dealership to schedule a repair.

And what is more the deductible on our insurance is 5-man, with the damages totalling less than 4-man... I am fed up with this shit... I need a beer. :D

I can't see myself in the boonies. I prefer the rice fields and swamps of Iwata.

Ah, I've already max'd the credit cards out and spent the cash in Roppongi, would a "Thank you" card suffice?
