Frederick P. Close is writing a new book, titled "TOKYO ROSE: An American Patriot", a biography of
Iva Toguri, best known as the infamous Tokyo Rose, whose propaganda
broadcasts influenced Allied troop morale during World War II, for
which she was convicted of treason and subsequently pardoned by
US President Ford, based on extensive interviews with Ms. Toguri, as well
as research under the Freedom of Information Act.
Praeger Press/Greenwood Publishing Group will publish it in 2006
