Just send a prepared text for the "Engrish" teachers to massacre during high-school reading time. Who knows what the kids will end up learning... :lol:

Truly one of the least effective weapons of World War II, but they get extra points for creativity.

I think their obscurity comes from the fact that they didn't do much damage.

Maybe we should send the surviving family members of balloon bomb victims over to speak at Japanese high schools.

Good luck finding any. From the link you provided:
Only six people actually died because of the balloons. There were, however, grass, field, and forest fires. Launched between November 1944 and March 1945, the wind conditions were ideal for travel along upper air currents. However, the ground where these balloons would strike was also wet or covered in snow. The threat to North American soil was therefore significantly reduced.


The real victims are the Japanse women and children who labored to produce these worthless things and to some who got killed when their factories were bombed by the US.

Win World War II in the Pacific -. All the United States had to do was to attach small incendiary bombs to millions of bats and release them over Japan's major cities. As the bats went to roost, a million fires would flare up in remote crannies of the wood and paper buildings common throughout Japan. When their cities were reduced to ashes, the Japanese would surely capitulate ...
