[/floatr]Livedoor news has a report (Japanese) on a survey conducted to see whether businessmen tend to wear a vest or T-shirt under their business shirts even in the heat of summer. It seems that around 75% do. One woman commenting on the survey hoped that more men would wear them since she is sick of seeing nipples and chest hair showing through a sweat-stained shirt and others seemed to agree. Even though summers in Japan's major city centres are getting more humid, it appears that the prejudice against men who don't elect to wear an undershirt remains strong. However, one woman said she wasn't particularly fond of seeing even the neckline of an undershirt showing and wondered why businessmen didn't just wear a thicker oxford cotton shirt.
