BOW-lingual is this a joke?

It seems Vodafone KK is offering the capability to talk to your dog via a mobile phone!!

Who the hell wants to know what a dog is saying, it's either "food" or "hump your leg".

Thanks, it's good to be here. I must admit this is one cool site. Loads of interesting comments, etc.

I guess this BOW-lingual ain't the 'killer app' that the mobile industry is looking for

A dog translator will come in handy if/when you go to a friends house and his dog start humping your leg. Instead of saying get the f*ck offa me, now you can translate that to what he understands.

Unfortunately, it only does dog-to-human, and not the reverse. Though having it go both ways (the translation, not the leg humping) would be cool too. You could encode your phone messages as barks, send them to a friend whose handset could decode them back to human.

It'd be the new PGP - Pooch Generated Privacy! :D

Plus you could tell your friends dog to go and hump somebody elses leg!
Infact you could get the dog to go do the shopping, clean the place, service the wife (well maybe not), leaving more time for drinking
