Call or visit the PC-&-porn chain store "HARD-OFF"They will give you an estimate over the phone of the "cash price" of your used equipment.
Also you should try physically visiting PC Depot and similar stores to look at their used computer prices.
Finally, look at the JapanToday free classified ads for computers. If you offer set up help (and delivery in your area) you can sell it with a lot more ease.

No, but a simple phone call to Dell Direct will get you in the deal.

No, actually it won't. Give it a try and see.
When the 24" Display was on sale for 79,000 via the mail offers the absolute best global account preferred-customer price was 92,000. Someone I know nearly got stuck paying that for one until I sent him the link for the mail offer.

I've bought a 20 in monitor for a friend at 40 or 50,000 yen through one of the corporate deals before without a problem. When they asked how I was going to pay for it, I told them to bill it under my name and not the company. I paid by COD. But the catch is, I talked to the same Dell rep I've talked to for years, so your results may vary.

Sure, but you have to actually know the deal exists before you can take advantage of it. Most people don't, and prodding a Dell sales rep will get you nowhere. You need the information before you can get the deal.

Big Booger wrote:Have to side with Tommy on this one. The telephone Dell "associates" will often give you a 10-20% cheaper price than ANY deal you find on the net.
Reason being, they work on a per sale commission... and if they don't meet quotas they can be fired.
