"Shibuya Station Vicinity Urban Renasissance"

As well as a new women-only spa up the road in Shinsen, Shibuya is getting a new small-scale cinema complex next month, next to the current Club Asia. Featuring "luxury seating" imported from Spain, the 5-screen Q-Ax project will also house the relocating Euro Space theatre. This activity probably has something to do with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Designation of Shibuya Station Vicinity as a Priority Development Area for Urban Renaissance.

And this near the vicinity of all those love hotels.. it's all about the great Tokyo zoning and planning in effect.

I thought the "Ax" in Shibuya Ax might have been a one-off thing. Now I see this. Is that some kind of funky katakana term I don't know? I sort of doubt this has something to do with felling trees in Shibuya.
