[floatr]Image[/floatr]The Asahi reports (Japanese) that Hino city police have arrested a gang of four middle school kids who have been on a mini crime spree of stealing cars and pickpocketing. Two of the kids ran away from home and went as far as Morioka and were caught near the Aomori ferry. One of the boys told police that he had watched a DVD of "Ocean's 11" this summer and thought the idea of having a gang of thieves was cool.

The Mainichi has an English report here although it says the epiphany came while watching "Ocean's 13" on the big screen.

Now, let's not be so hasty to judge these lads. I remember when my firends and I watched "Master of the Flying Guillotine". Afterwards, friend's dad had a bunch of metal shop stuff in the garage, so we got to working on our own Flying Guillotine......then, after a stint in Juvenile Detention, we realized that what we had done to Doug, Tom, and a few random deer that happened to be in range, was very very wrong.
