Cherish Room Clover in Fukuoka is going for a double maid and butler menu. Some of the butler's will be girls (like Kuang Grade's earlier "dansou kissa") while others will be guys like the original Butlers' Cafe Swallowtail in Ikebukuro mentioned earlier. It doesn't look like the owners have spent much money on it.

Spoken like someone who's never had an eargasm. I can't explain where it is, but it's like the G-spot for both sexes. I don't think I'd pay for anyone to do it, but getting it from someone you're snuggling with is a lot of fun.

I've never been to one of these maid places, but I'm kind of curious. My wife wavers: half the time she asks me never to go to one whenever she sees them mentioned on TV because she doesn't want to face the fact that she married a geek, and half the time she wants me to go and report back on just what goes on in those shops.

Combining an Akihabara otaku's interest in maids and girls with glasses. The store was set up by the third-generation owner of a Yokohama optician who claims to have been the first to stock frames worn by Yon-sama and singer Gackt.

Heavy discounting has hit the business in recent years but this store has bucked the trend and the company is thinking of rolling out the format in more locations in the near future.

I took a friend who was visiting from the U.S. to Akihabara. I haven't been there since the maid cafe boom started, so I was pretty shocked to see so many maids handing out flyers in front the of train station.

The pricing is pretty high for the quality of the food, but I guess that's reasonable if your only expenses are manga and canned oden.
