But you never know with these "students", my mate only just started uni and he is 21!? (In Japan) Straight out from school! Yet, I was in 2nd Year Senior High with him!?

They re-worded the story:

NISHINOMIYA, Hyogo -- A man died Sunday as another man who had leaped to his death from the top of a high-rise building landed on top of him, police said.

The 20-year-old part-timer died instantly when the 30-year-old man who jumped from a twelfth story landing fell on top of him.

The man who jumped also died instantly, but a friend who had been talking to the part-timer when the tragedy occurred was not harmed at all.

Police said the 30-year-old unemployed man leaped from the local government-run housing estate building, landing on the victim and killing them both shortly before 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police are looking into why the 30-year-old man had decided to commit suicide. (Mainichi and wire reports, Aug. 8, 2004)

The photo was from a year or two ago and the toddler was just sitting on the edge and slipped. The kid fell 4 stories onto landscaping bushes and wasn't hurt badly. There were public calls for more window bars resulting in the operatable windows in many new buildings being sealed shut (like my hospital room).

I believe it was on the UNBELIEVABLE tv show, or another tv program (they depict life threatening situations/traumas and how people come out it okay.)
Anyway, a Korean girl was playing on a piano, and somehow got the window open. She was on the ledge for a while, and across the way some neighbor was video taping the event.
Finally, the camerman got word to the apartment where the girl lived, and the parents tried to open the door.
The parents found the door locked, and the father ran like hell down stairs. (the girl was dangling, and not sitting on the ledge at this point) As the father made his way outside of the apartment, the little girl was dropping down.
The father caught her, and she was okay. The dad got a broken arm.

honestly, this is like the definition of 'passive aggressive'. if you're gonna kill yourself, don't murder in the process. please. if the family of the suicide is held accountable for train delays, they should definitely be held liable for some cash damages in a murder like this...maybe it would deter some asshole at least once. and on the other side of the coin, aybe families would look out for their sick, dark, suicidal spawn.
