Don't let this happen to you, A FG rest of the story

If you are looking for one of those light entertaining type posts to chuckle into your suds over this is not one.
This is however a true FG story.

One night several years ago, a FG was driving along and got pulled over in one of those
midnight drunk driver check stops. He had a valid J drivers license and would have probably
been ok if he had kept his cool. Then he remembers his visa has expired. He panics and
tries to makes a run for it.

The police go crazy and mobilize every vehicle they have in the
prefecture to try to catch him.

They chase him all over the place for about 90 Kilometers at
speeds in excess of 120 kph (the police say). They (the police) run into a couple of parked
cars while chasing him.
All over the place.

Finally they crash into his car and get it stopped.

The J-cops jumped onto the hood and emptied his revolver at point blank range at the UNARMED poor FG

AND MISSED!!!!!!

He gets arrested goes to jail. The J-cops try to get him to confess to every unsolved crime in
Eastern Kanto but he endures the numerous beatings and refuses to sign a confession to any
of their trumped up charges. He endures it for about 5 weeks. Finally he goes to trial and the
Judge sentences him to about 4 years where he is working at hard labor to pay back his debt to Japanese society. Which amounts to paying for the cost of the cars the J-police wrecked into while chasing him down.He is there now and the thing keeping him going is the hope of seeing his two year old daughter and wife again someday soon who were soon arrested after him and deported for various visa violations.

I can't provide the link to the newspaper articles about this but for some reason it only made the regional papers. You can imagine the article "Fearless J-Cops have shoot out with dangerous criminal gaijin in high speed, multi-vehicle chase etc., etc.,........blah!"

I have gotten comments like: "HSH, how come you are always saying bad things about Japan and Japanese, YOU MUST BE A RACIST PIG!

Well maybe I am :x For good reason
Stay on the bomb run boys. I'm goin' to get them doors open if it hare lips everybody on Bear Creek.

One case me might have all heard of is Baker's, I'm not usre about it, is he gulity, innocent... ? ...there are a lot of questions about the methods of conviction in Japan

I checked out Nick Baker's site some days ago, it seems there are some real horrible reports of gaijins in Japan prisions, and the amnesty international and human-rights-watch reports are some real horror stories
