Moscow Mules.. definitely.. This is when in fancy-smancy bars (and some not so fancy) This is confirmed above my avator.. (A thousand thanks again to Ultra for making me feel so special!! )

In dodgey bottle keep bars especially in Golden Gai I drink the local gut rot or perhaps some Jinro mixed with jasmine tea or even sometimes with hot water and ume-boshi. (See I am completely fucked)

But at home besides a good bottle of red, I have a stash of my home-made ume-shu which is sweet, sticky and extremely potent. That is always consumed "Roku" (On sa rokusu). I bring this out for special occasions and visitors.

The first drink I ever drank in Japan was a White russian. Well, the first drink I ever bought at a club (NCO club at Misawa Air Base).

My Favorites all have orange juice. Tequila Sunrise and Screwdrivers.

As long as it hits me right, I dont care what I drink. I got to get back to Japan. Drinking in the U.S. isn't fun. Got to worry about to much. In Japan, you can get drunk and not worry. Specially in rural regions.

At a little waterhole in Yokosuka called (I think) Bar New Tokyo, I tried a particularly toxic combination of hard liquers appropriately called "Liquid Cocaine". Now, that should have been a warning right there..but, at that point, I had had enough drinks to lose common sense, so I figured I could handle it, and gulped it down a bit too quick. That was a mistake. The final straw was when they the bartender pulled out a plate of rather nasty looking cocktail weiners to help settle my stomach.. and the very of sight of them had the reverse effect.

And that's the story of the first time I've ever puked on a bar. Goodnight.
