Imperial family swaps Nissans for Toyotas

September 02, 2005 12:11:58 PM , TOKYO---Japan's Imperial family has decided to replace five Nissan Prince Royals, used for more than 30 years, with similar large luxury cars built by Toyota....Since the fleet has become difficult to maintain due to its age, Nissan has asked the agency to stop using the cars....
The Nissan Prince Royals will be replaced by Toyota Century Royals worth $470,000 each....more...

Anyone know where I can find more information about both of these cars? The ones used specifically by the royal family.

I think basically they are engineered like most airliners are.

These new cars should last forever.

The Century is one ugly duckling car built by Toyota. If I had the choice, I would choose Celsior (I guess now the Lex ls430?) over that Crown Royale any day.
