What is bu-do-kon?
The literal translation from Japanese is "Way of the spiritual warrior". Looks like any number funked out eikawa teachers who use the 'I'm here for the culture line' to get laid. Anytime I hear the term wellness, I know I am listening to a fraud. Nice tattoos BTW. :D

Most legitimate martial arts teachers, whether or not they are professionals or part-time instructors, should carry themselves as professionals. Picture that sensei outside of his outfit as a family doctor, for example, or a lawyer, teacher, or other professional businessperson. Do his personality and bearing strike you as that of someone you can trust? Contrary to some popular beliefs, teachers of martial arts in China and Japan usually act like regular, decent people.

Cameron subsequently worked on a number of film projects. Most notably he was Martial Arts Trainer and Fight Scene Choreographer for Chris Tucker in both Rush Hour 1 & 2, as well as Renee Russo's martial arts trainer for the Lethal Weapon series.


Isn't it Sean Penn? Or would you not need to be able to spell the name of the guy you're tasked to protect...?

Renee Russo was in the last two (of four) Lethal Weapon movies, not the entire series.

No doubt a little fact-checking would debunk most of the other "gems" on the website :roll:

I've seen a lot of "so called" and "self proclaimed" martial arts masters and grandmasters over the years. Without a doubt there are a lot of shysters out there...

but to be fair, but who knows the guy might actually have something....

(I hope folks aren't just blowing him off just because he's not Asian. There are a lot of martial arts profiteers out there who are Asian too..)

Hey, I say, if he's doing something positive and if some people are able improve themselves in some way....well, is that a bad thing....??


On the other hand.....yes, he does look like a dork in that photo.

Cameron Shayne must have done something right when he came over a few years ago. Budokon now has a Japanese website and it indicates that you can take classes at several gyms around the country. That picture above is in Ueno.
