Ah.... that's the one thing I miss about home... a real police presence and a tendency to swing the baton at anything obnoxious. Consequently, no biker gangs.

The other thing is that if there were such a thing in the States as the bozo-zoku, they would be peppered with buckshot if they were stupid enough to come by the same place every night on SCHEDULE as they do in Japan.

Police have made over 100 arrests and confiscated hundreds of weapons, knives and firearms in a bid to crack down on the violence fearing the worse as there are already over 50 thousand bikers in the town with more on their way for the final weekend. Laughlin, a small gambling town with 9 casinos at the base of Nevada near the Arizona border is about 80m from the gambling mecca of Las Vegas and attracts thousands of bikers annually to a week long festival along the lines of Sturgis and Daytona.
