Trade 'em, swap 'em. Let's trendy!

Japanese divorce rate at all time high
The Japanese government, which released its latest figures on New Year's Day, is concerned that the rise in divorce and the decrease in childbirth and marriage are a threat to the country's ailing economy.

I think a bigger threat is the way a lot of companies do business, and treat their employees like slaves who have no right to a life on the outside...fix that stuff instead and the economy will improve.

I would like to know how many families are living in separate cities because of these company policies. I know a few families where the father has been transferred to a different city and lives away from the wife and kid/s and only sees them on weekends. There was no provision for the family made when the transfer was "ordered". But there is no way that the guy will resign and find a new job if he is working for a "good company:!! 8O

Gyah that is crazy...a Japanese friend of mine just got married and took a break from her company - they want her back but only if she works her former insane 14 hours a day - but she wants to work limited hours (ie normal ones) so that she can have time with her hubby. The company love her work but don't seem willing to budge on the time issue.

Hmm maybe they are hoping that she will stay home and start having babies? Is is a secret conspiracy?
