"We've never heard of a shark near here. I'm surprised to learn that sharks are living in the Port of Kawasaki," said an official of the city's port and harbor bureau.

Well it appears they are not living there very successfully at all.....

It comes as a surprise. Didn't they identify the shark that ate that hard hat diver right out his suit in the North end of Setonaikai as a Great White?

That was only a couple of years back and it's a surprise? Maybe they hadn't seen any on the Shinkansen.
