I was thinking of buying one of those Famicom emulators they are selling but am not sure yet. Does anyone here have one of those and do they play old Famicom games on them?

Just get an Xbox.
Thats what I did and I got all of the Famicom games, SNES games, Genisis games and Nintendo 64 games on a hard drive, in built for around $350AUD brand new with 2 controllers.
Thats over 5000 games and plenty of space for more games....

there are plenty of pc, mac, and linux emus for the famicom and 100+ torrent sites for a lot of games + irc channels etc. although i guess this is a band subject under fg rules.
