Killing Mom Softly

Postby GuyJean » Tue Nov 01, 2005 8:06 pm

Does anyone have a link to the story about the high school girl that wanted to kill her mom, so she slowly fed her rat poison? Then took pictures of her deteriorating and posted them on her website? Mom's now in a coma..

Don't know much more than that; Just saw something on BS-50..

Lovely girl..

I love the school's response. Nah, we don't keep thallium on the premises and "....and the school had been unaware of any family problems (other than slipping rat dope to her mom)...."

Typical. We are not the sekinin!

ZakZakreports that her blog entries showed an interest in Graham Young, the St Alban's Poisoner. The story of Young inspired the book and the film "The Young Poisoner's Handbook".

Kyodo via Japan Today: Girl, 16, made 2nd attempt to poison mother at hospital
SHIZUOKA — A teenage girl arrested for allegedly attempting to poison her mother apparently tried to poison her again later in hospital, investigative sources said Thursday. They said the 16-year-old high school student, whose name is withheld as she is a minor, offered to wash her mother's teacup and then dripped a toxic solution of thallium, a rat poison, into it. The sources said the girl, a member of her high school chemistry club, wrote in her diary that she did this...more...

Yomiuri: Suspected poisoner fan of U.K. killer
A 16-year-old girl who was arrested Monday on suspicion of trying to slowly poison her mother to death, wrote in her middle school graduation composition that she admired Graham Young, the British killer who poisoned to death three people, including his stepmother, between 1962 and 1971, according to police. A nonfiction account of Young's life titled "The St. Albans Poisoner--The Life and Crimes of Graham Young," was found in the room of the first-year student of a prefectural high school in Izunokuni, Shizuoka Prefecture, the police said. They believe that the bullying of the girl when she was a primary school student triggered her strong interest in chemicals.

She also wrote in her Web log that she admired Young. The Japanese translation of the story of Young's life and a photo of him were found in her room, the police said. Young became interested in poisons when he was a boy. He was convicted at the age of 14 of poisoning his stepmother to death and sickening other family members and sent to prison for 15 years. After he was released nine years later, he poisoned two of his work colleagues to death and described in his diary the symptoms they suffered. Since thallium, a highly toxic substance, was used to kill the men, police believe the similarities between two incidents could shed light on the girl's motive.

I wonder if she ever had a parttime job at say... oh... KFC? McD's? Mos Burger? :D She could poison people day in and day out and no one would be the wiser... :D That food tastes like shit anyway.

They might want to take note that the little girl is bent in the head and is determined to kill her mother... might be a good idea to lock the little thallium trollop up... throw away the fucking key.

I can't imagine them letting her near her mother, especially with food or drink involved... what a bunch of retards.

Yomiuri: 'Girl poisoner' apparently poisoned self
A 16-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of trying to poison her mother to death with thallium seems to have taken doses of various toxic substances, including thallium, it has been learned. On her Web log, which she started in late June, the first-year high school student from Izunokuni, Shizuoka Prefecture, wrote that she had taken various kinds of chemicals. Two days after she obtained thallium, she wrote, "I have a stomachache, but I know what caused it--thallium." In her blog, she also said she had synthesized chemicals and made antidotes for poisons, indicating her obsession with toxic chemicals.
...The girl still denies attempting to murder her 47-year-old mother, and the motives behind the suspected murder and the reason for the girl having purchased a huge amount of toxic substances remain a mystery...[A] female police officer knowledgeable about biochemistry has been present during police questioning of the girl. A senior prefectural police officer said the female officer and an experienced prefectural police officer have had several small chats with the girl in an attempt to gain her trust. They have mainly talked about her life when she was a primary and middle school student. The girl spoke a lot about chemistry and mathematical formulas among others things, the senior officer said

Kyodo via Yahoo: Girl denies again that she poisoned mother
A 16-year-old girl who has been detained since late last year on suspicion of poisoning her mother has denied the allegation once again, the Shizuoka police said Friday...On Friday, the Shizuoka District Public Prosecutors Office transferred her from the Tokyo facility to a detention center in Fuji, Shizuoka, so that the Shizuoka police could resume their investigation. The police said the girl has denied the allegation as before. She has told the police that she spent time "writing diary-like notes and poems" while she was detained in Tokyo. The girl appeared relieved to be back in Shizuoka, but showed no signs of concerns about her mother or other family members, the police said...

MDN: Girl admits trying to kill mom by lacing her tea
A 17-year-old girl accused of lacing tea with a toxic chemical in a bid to kill her mother admitted to the allegations during a hearing Friday of her juvenile trial. The girl, whose name is being withheld under the Juvenile Law, admitted to attempted murder during the hearing at the Numazu branch of the Shizuoka Family Court. During questioning by police and prosecutors prior to the trial, she admitted to having purchased thallium but denied that she laced her mother's tea with the toxic chemical. Now that she has admitted to the allegations, her family has asked for leniency. The family court is unlikely to send her back to prosecutors for indictment as an adult, and instead is expected to send her to a juvenile reformatory or place her under probation, judicial sources said. The girl is accused of lacing her mother's tea with thallium at their home or a hospital where the mother was admitted between August and October last year in a bid to kill her. Her mother remains unconscious. In March this year, prosecutors referred her to the court recommending that she be indicted an adult.

A Japanese teenage girl who was inspired by a notorious British serial killer to attempt to kill her mother with poison was yesterday sent to a juvenile correctional facility for treatment.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named because she is a minor, has admitted poisoning her mother last year with thallium, an ingredient of rat poison, according to the Shizuoka family court in central Japan.

The girl, a promising chemistry student, recorded her mother's deterioration in posts to her weblog and took photographs as she lay in a coma. She had been inspired by Graham Young, who was convicted of killing three people and poisoning dozens in the 1960s and 1970s ...

Handing down the decision, presiding judge Hiroyuki Anegawa said: "The girl had early developmental problems and we have found she has a distorted personality. Her abilities to distinguish right from wrong and to control her actions have been inhibited to a certain extent."

Police were alerted by her brother, who said he had been "horrified" by his sister's "penetrating stare" as their mother lay ill ... more
