Possibly, however the fatal flaw is that everything goes better with House!

Yea I hate bablefish, if only people wouldn't use kanji the translations work pretty well.

Is there something better then babelfish? There's http://www.jisyo.org/ but it just breaks down the kanji into hints, no help on a really long e-mail.

I wouldn't trust Babelfish. Probably more productive to get a textbook

I checked out http://www.jisyo.org and was only mildly impressed....Afterward I clicked on a link to Nikkei and got really damn impressed with it. It turns out you can point this thing at any website and it will have those hovering help windows when you hold the mouse over any kanji.

This could be a really handy tool for learning.

I agree!! I wish people would stop looking at MT as the substitute for language study. Sure use the dictionaries for words/kanji that you don't know but learn grammar and work it out for yourself. There is no way in HELL that MT is ever going to replace language skills.

MT for Asian languages->English is absolutely woeful. Don't change your Japanese so that Bablefish gets it right!!! Ask a Japanese speaker!!!

/end rant.
