Kyodo via Japan Today: Police dogs to be introduced at Imperial Palace
Police dogs will be introduced at the Imperial Palace for the first time to beef up security, the Imperial Guard Headquarters said Friday. Two male German shepherd dogs, Curson, 2, and Zander, 1, will be used to search for suspicious objects and do other work. The headquarters held a ceremony Friday for the opening of a kennel and showed the dogs being trained to the media.
