Maybe not possible if you live in an apartment but These stoves are pretty cheap.
We live in the country up in the mountains so plenty of things to burn. When I lived in Sapporo I had one like it and used to go around to building sites and collect the burnable stuff from them to burn in it. Old newspapers, rolled up, grass, anything burnable is ok.

not only stinky, dirty, and potentially a huge fire hazard, the amount of time you spend looking for fuel could be better spent eating beans and farting under a blanket.

Just run some stovepipe out a window, takes 5 whole minutes.
I can tell you be one o'dem city boys![]()
a lot less stinky, dirty, and potentially a health/fire hazard than eating beans and farting under a blanket.
Unless you light your farts,is that what you do BB?

Have you ever farted under a blanket? Then as long as you don't let it escape, the smell is filtered slowly through the blanket, and the warmth is generally around nominal body temperature. If you can produce 2 or 3 gas movements in a 10 minute period, you will stay quite toasty.
