Japan Times: General anxiety disorder may be affecting 3% of population
About 3 percent of Japanese are probably suffering from generalized anxiety disorder, which leads to depression and seriously affects not only those who have it, but also those around them. Osamu Tajima, a Kyorin University professor, said GAD patients sleep poorly, suffer headaches and become highly sensitive and impatient. "Naturally, they become irritable, tormenting themselves and troubling those around them," Tajima said. I think this is a typo and they left off a zero.
It should be 30%.
At my (former?) company, most every floor of the building has one third of the people twitching and arguing to themeselves at any moment. But hey, maybe things have got better without the performance stress I added. :twisted:

I have that GAD shit and it isn't fun. It's really bad when I'm in Japan so I think it's linked (for me) to the Japanese diet. I don't eat enough of something or other, probably choline-from dark green vegetables.
