Mr. Kim spoke after government auditors confirmed that Hyundai Merchant Marine, operating tours to North Korea, had been the conduit for the mysterious transfer of nearly $200 million into North Korean coffers. He did not, however, say if the transfer, made before he flew to Pyongyang to meet the North Korean leader in June 2000, was made to bring about the summit meeting, a major factor in his receiving the Nobel Peace Prize four months later.
