If you don't mind a small trek - Akihabara has lots of second hand stuff....

Don't really wanna go to Akihabera as it means I will inevitably end up buying a huge gadget that I don't really need or even want!

One of those attached to my computer would be great instead of being quoted stupid prices over on metropolis classifieds!

Is there a Sofmap anywhere near you? They sometimes have some cheap stuff. Their online store has these:

Or you could do the Yahoo Auctions thing. Always heaps on there.

And have you checked your local Bic Camera or Yodobashi? Some of the stores have a second hand/outlet section with cheaper old stuff.

Check Sofmap. They have a large selection of used/demo stuff. I bought a Sharp 17" LCD monitor, Canon scanner, and IBM notebook from them and have had no problems. They usually give you a short warranty too.

Hard Off has all used stuff. Sometimes the prices are a little high considering it is used stuff. You need to have an idea of what new stuff costs before you shop there because you may or may not get a good deal.
