MSN-Mainichi Daily News is seeking a native-English speaker to fill a vacant staff position for an immediate start.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
* Strong interest in news and current affairs in Japan, and throughout the world.
* Excellent English skills.
* Solid Internet skills.
* Conversational Japanese ability.
* Valid visa status.
* Willingness to make a long-term commitment to the site.
The successful candidate must also be hard working, flexible, self-motivated, efficient and have the ability to work harmoniously with others in a multinational environment. They will also be required to contribute toward the production of the Mainichi Weekly, a newspaper produced for students of the English language.
The successful candidate will be required to work eight-hour shifts (with a one-hour lunch break) on a daily basis as part of a flexible work roster that includes weekends and national holidays.
