Forbes: Japan govt wants recycling law to include flat panel TVs, microwaves
The government has decided to expand the range of household appliances legally required to be recycled to include LCD/plasma TVs, microwave ovens and other products, The Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported citing sources familiar with the matter. The law currently covers only refrigerators, cathode-ray tube TVs, washing machines and air conditioners...In addition to flat-panel TVs and microwave ovens, the revision will also cover vacuum cleaners and laundry dryers, the sources said.
