Mainichi: Skater Ando changes her tune ahead of winter Olympics
Miki Ando...has decided to change her choice of music for her routine in the free program from "My Funny Valentine" to Giacomo Puccini's "Madame Butterfly," sources close to her said....The classic opera "Madame Butterfly" depicts the life of a Japanese woman and Puccini was a great composer from Italy, the Winter Olympics' host country, so Ando has decided to change her tune.

That is clouding your eyes. She is not that cute. In fact she is more than average and really needs to clear up that skin. If her face is that broken out I bet her back and probobaly her a** has pimples on it too. Go to give her a nice backrub and come away with zit goo on your hands 8O

Mainichi: Fans fret over figure skater's ever bigger figure
Mikitty has become a Fat Cat, according to Shukan Gendai (1/21), which argues that Miki Ando, Japan's once svelte darling of the rink, can't do what she once did because of her high-fat American diet...more...

If you search for Miki Ando in Google Images, you'll see that Taro's picture for news.3yen.com (and also FG) is third in the list.

If you want to see her practice, she does her routines at some skating rink near Yokohama.. I can't give anymore info than that.

Though, prepared to encounter a million SPs.

Amazingly, she practices for only 2 hours a day.

The manager from my old company used to see her practice in Yokohama (or so he claims..) but never shared the glory with the rest of the team. Needless to say, he was definitely not the most team player of all people to work with.

Meaning.. there will be a wardrobe malfunction at Torino like Janetitty Jackson did in 2004.

But too bad, it won't happen as there will definitely be having tape delay when showing it in Japan.

Is Miki a real FG?

Postby Greji » Sun Feb 12, 2006 7:36 pm

It has been commented that based on the caligraphy for her name, certain people have offered the opinion she might be a Korean? Anybody have any thoughts on this?

How about the other name? Although there are "Korean rashi" names in last names, which stems from the days when Koreans had to accept a J-name from a selected list, that is not true any longer. You can identify Zaikans a lot of the time, by the kanji that they are given for their first names.

If it is 金]

Her other name means her first name. Miki 美姫. Where Miki is widely used, this is considered an unusual combination of kanji for a Japanese to use for this name. Although not conclusive some J-people have said it may have been given to her as an indication of a Korean connection, or background. Who knows? She could be a fellow FG!

I didn't know Aichi, where she is from originally, had a huge Korean population. Again, I would check out her real surname AND if her parents own a pachinko shop or a gas station to verify that she is really Korean.

You know.. besides who gives a f*ck if she is Korean. Over the years, I really don't see any intrinsic differences between Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese when it comes to genetic differences. Cultures and languages, definitely, but not so much in genetic identity.
