Im having serious troubles burning stuff I have saved on my HD to DVD using NERO.
The messages I get are :-

It burns maybe about 10- 15% and then just stops and spits out the above 2 messages.

I used to get that message burning CDs so I might be able to help..

Lower the burning rate speed
and
Change the media.

Sometimes, when you use shitty quality DVD's, your player won't do the job right and you get that message.

I second IkeT's advice - looks like a media problem:

1) make sure your burning speed matches the DVD's
2) try using a different brand of DVD
3) if that fails to work, check the speed/manually drop the speed to 4x or so

Think one of your biggest problems might be Nero itself - make sure you have the most current updates and are not running Nero in the Easy Start mode or whatever they call it.

copying a CD/Dvd for somebody else or selling is highly-illegal

however if you want to back up your own personal Cds, so the original doesn't get scratched then that's perfectly fine, there are some subtle differences for Japanese copyright acts, in Japan Teachers at non-profit educational institutions are permitted to reproduce copyrighted works for the purpose of teaching, as long as such reproduction does not infringe on the interests of the author and Everyone can copy programs - software can be reproduced for but only for personal use, the Canadian copy and pirate laws are almost a mimic of the British Copyright Act of 1911, I'm not sure about the copyright directive of the USA or its laws for intellectual property right, and patents.

Burning DVD's

Postby canman » Fri Jan 27, 2006 1:42 am

I'd like to piggy back on this thread. I recently had a Plextor DVD burner installed in my computer, but unfortunaltey the burning software is all in Japanese, do you all recommend Nero as a good program for burning DVDs. Something simple and not to complicated would be nice.
Also another question. My son bought me a buffalo web cam for Christmas and the damn drivers are in Japanese, does nyone know where I can find English drivers for this machine. I've checked on the Buffalo homepage, and for North America but it seems they don't make a web cam for the North American market. ITs a BWC-35H01. Thanks in advance.

Try deep burner, simple and they have a free version to burn DVDs and so on.

Why do you need English drivers for the camera? The driver language shouldn't matter.

Just install the web cam using the drivers from the link above, and then use this software:

If that doesn't work, I searched for an English driver and none were found.

To control the camera. :D
