A 33-year-old man who had been released from jail in 2000 for abducting and killing a 7-year-old boy in 1990 was sentenced to 16 years in prison on Monday for molesting 14 children in Fukuoka and Saga prefectures between 2003 and 2004.
Haruhiko Kumamoto, who was convicted by the Fukuoka District Court on charges of abduction with the intent of molestation, has a "deep-rooted" tendency to commit sex crimes, the prosecutors said. Two of his victims, aged between 6 and 10, were boys.
The prosecutors had demanded an 18-year prison term.
Kumamoto was released from jail in December 2000 after serving 10 years for abducting and killing a 7-year-old boy in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1990 when he was 17. He had been given an indefinite prison term.
Prosecutors said Kumamoto, who was as unemployed, began molesting children two months after he started living at his parents' home. According to the indictment, Kumamoto molested the 14 children between May 2003 and July 2004.......unbelievable...
Castration comes to mind..
