Russian documentary about N. Korea

I watched the FNN news broadcast yesterday regarding a Russian documentary that N. Korea wanted to suppress because it apparently had recently de-classified (per Russia) information that showed that the entire regime of both Kims is all a fabricated lie. I didn't catch everything said, but there was reference that Kim Jong Il's father apparently had taken on an identity of a dead man, that Kim Jong Il was not born in Korea, but in some section of Siberia and had moved with his father to what is now N. Korea, and that his former mentor claimed Kim Jong Il was a spoiled nightmare to deal with...
Assuming that most of it is true, which wouldn't be surprising, it would make his regime perhaps the largest communist cult regime in the world, at this time, since the way the people behave in the movies that are released in N. Korea look like they are pretty much all brain washed cult zombies....which is another thing that isn't surprising....

Did anybody else get any other bits of info about that Russian documentary?

Not that the Japanese media aren't biased, but it's interesting to see the Russian documentary claim these things for their own media....and also note that the N. Korean government want to terminate the showings of the documentary.....

I hadn't heard that part about the father, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised either. I know I read an article about how Kim Jong Il was born in Siberia, rather than at some mountain that is said to be the birthplace of the Korean civilization.

All of this was referenced in some article stating how South Korea is now including information about Kim Song Il (is that Kim Jong Il's father's name?) and his role in shaping the DPRK. That move is really pissing off some of the old hardliners since these textbooks aren't necessarily making DPRK look really bad, as is customary. I can't remember if I caught the link to that article here or at the BBC site.

Regardless, it looks like there is room to doubt the 'official' biographies of the leaders.

That's right. Kim Jong-il was born in Russia, but the North Koreans are fed a myth. There's also something about rainbows at the moment of his birth. North Koreans are taught that on his fourth birthday Kim Jong-il threw black paint at a map of Japan, causing black rain to fall for four days in Japan. He's reported to have shot perfect games of golf and other supernatural feats.

Kim Song Il (is that Kim Jong Il's father's name?)...

It's Kim Il-sung. He's called, among other grandiose titles, the Eternal Leader; even in death, he's the country's official leader. He's much more charismatic in the eyes of North Koreans than his son is.

North Koreans use a special grammar form when speaking about Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il, and they have either a special font or a special color that is used when quoting them in writing. As a guy who took a tour of North Korea writes on his Web site, "The culture of North Korea? Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il. That's the culture."

Ah, that's the way to do things...hide in anonymity and shout out about being shameful because you have to hide to show admiration for a false leader...but whether this was done to incite more anti-N.Korean attitudes, or just to play games on the forums with folks, it does appear to be a tactic for cowards with something to hide...
but no point in arguing, is there? Cult groups are always saying paradise is at hand, and yet when it comes to showing the paradise to others, always it's in secrecy only for members.... ha ha ha! I love it....
keep up the good work....you'll find some sucker who believes you, I know!
