What's a Chav?

Postby sillygirl » Mon Feb 13, 2006 11:49 pm

AO - here you go:

chav:chav,n A twatty person who loiters in a public place and smokes a lot, usually whilst wearing a baseball cap at a stupid angle: A person who thinks it's cool to walk around with an open mouth and a dribbly chin : A biatch who's skirt covers half her arse and who usually wears white stilletos and big droopy earrings: Any gangster wannabe of either sex wearing a vacant expression, common to all Northwest towns, Esp.Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington.

chavette chav'et n.Alternative name for the biatch version of a chav

The late American author James Michener's wife is (was?) Toshie although I don't know her last name.

Michener was the guy that wrote Sayonara wasn't he?

I loved that book until the last few pages.

Yes he wrote Sayonara. One of his first books. He was one of those who decoded the messages of the Japanese army during the war.

Thanks for that. Emperor mentioned in another thread they were engaged and Trey Parker's bio confirms they married in January.

The fans are happy:

Emma is fucking gross. Looks like she took Trey's credit card to JC Penny's for a make over & he put on that same suit & chugged a bottle of scotch.
She's a whore.

Daphne H.
I would not be seen dead in that dress. Poor Trey looks awful...These pictures really show that she is much older than I originally thought her to be. She's aging Trey quickly.

Mike Choi
I think Emma is gross too, but maybe Trey is happy. It doesn't show on his face, but maybe he is.

BookCrossing founder, Ron Hornbaker is married to an Okinawan girl. Kaori "Kay" Hornbaker has also helped him set up Anatographs (turns your MRI/CRT/X-Ray into "museum quality art") and Desire Motors (luxury car sales).

As an aside, I've just noticed on the BookCrossing site that there are a number of entries for Japan, especially in Gifu.

A football theme seems appropriate. The first season coach of Sydney FC was Pierre Littbarski, who was a World Cup winner with Germany in 1990. "He was famous amongst Sydney FC supporters for his lack of tactical knowledge and his stylish brown suits". Of more interest to us is his wife Hitomi. Littbarski was famous before he came to Japan and met his wife but he became a fully-fledged FG in a 10 year career as player and manager during which he picked up the language.

Good Pull. Littbarski of the Bicycle KickLittbarskis. I remember him well.

His Jpn is not actually all that good, but he has a great sense of humour, and seems to really like Japan and the Jpn. That makes him a FG, no!?

His wife is pretty hot for an old broad................

Libarski was in japan during the first few years of the J League so I was surprised when I saw him on TV during the WC taking a stab at Japanese.

Weezer fans think this might be her:

ImageImage

Rivers Cuomo has demonstrated long-term symptoms of yellow fever:
The Weezer frontman has been a walking contradiction, from a devastatingly brilliant, heart-on-his-sleeve poet with an Asian fetish to a bland and boring Limp Bizkit fan sipping Mountain Dew while private messaging his cyber girlfriend on the band's online message board ... with an Asian fetish...On his albums, Rivers seems like an innocent, heartbroken, indie-rock God. In actuality, Cuomo seems more like a metal-head who has foursomes with Japanese groupies on tour.
More on the foursome:
Weezer was on tour in Japan. 15 girls were in Cuomo’]Pinkerton[/I] as much as the next closet indie nerd but to know that Cuomo banked my cash to fund his Hot Asian Girl habit is a little disconcerting.

He used to date Jennifer Chiba who is best known for her curious role in the death of another of her boyfriends, singer Elliott Smith, by two self-inflicted stab wounds. From Wikipedia:
Elliott Smith died on October 21, 2003 in the Echo Park section of Los Angeles, California at age 34, from two stab wounds to the chest during an emotional fight with Jennifer Chiba. [30] According to her account, the two were arguing when she locked herself in the bathroom. Chiba heard him scream, and upon opening the door, saw Smith standing there with a steak knife in his chest. She pulled the knife out of him, after which he collapsed and she called 911. Smith died in hospital with the time of death listed as 1:36 p.m. While originally reported as a suicide, the official autopsy report released in late December 2003 left the question of possible homicide open:

"While his history of depression is compatible with suicide, and the location and direction of the stab wound is consistent with self-infliction, several aspects of the circumstances (as are known at this time) are atypical of suicide and raise the possibility of homicide. These include the absence of hesitation wounds, stabbing through clothing, and the presence of small incised wounds on the right arm and left hand (possible defensive wounds). Additionally, the girlfriend's [Jennifer Chiba's] reported removal of the knife and subsequent refusal to speak with detectives are all of concern."

I agree. I really enjoyed watching him on the telly. Arsene Wanker was also really good.

Nice to see that genuine football stars that come to Japan aren't all greedy guidos like Zico.

He played for JEF United, I think. I used to teach a woman at Nova about ten years ago who was assigned to his (I guess JEF at that time.) office through a temporary placement agency.
