Former FG injured in Afghanistan attack

Postby dimwit » Sun Mar 05, 2006 7:18 pm

Former FG Trevor Greene was injured in a machette attack by an insurgent in Afghanistan.

Ambush in Afghanistan

From the Toronto Star

A Canadian civil affairs officer came in peace yesterday to a destitute Afghan village, removing his helmet and laying his weapon on the ground. He sat cross-legged with tribal elders and produced a notepad, into which he began to faithfully record the people's needs.

From behind, a young man stepped forward suddenly from among the crowd of villagers and raised an axe above his head. With a single cry of "Allahu Akbar," he swung the blade into the top of the Canadian officer's head.

Lieut. Trevor Greene, a Vancouver resident serving in the Canadian Forces' Civil-Military Co-operation (CIMIC) unit was in critical condition last night, en route to Germany, where a team of neurologists waited to assess the extent of brain damage. His vital signs were said to be satisfactory and he was breathing without assistance...

The author of Bad Date, an investigation of the disappearance of prostitutes in Vancouver, and Bridge of Tears, a book on the homeless of Japan that was short-listed for a book prize in Japan, Greene worked as a journalist in Asia and Canada before joining the navy in 1995 and three years later transferring to the army reserve.

Allah sure is great when his followers pull shit like this.

I wonder if over there they see any difference between Canadians and Americans...

Or do they just look at the uniforms and white faces.

When they continue bashing non-believers and are blaming all other countries, even the US, for the so-called Danish Cartoon scandal, it doesn't matter who the victim is, just if he appears to be a non-believer, than it's off with his (or her) head!

It is a religious war to the death for these fanatics and the sooner the apologizers and the "well I understand their frustration" assholes realize it, and something is done about the fanatics (Off with their heads, comes to mind here) , the safer people will be.

Like it or not, the war on terrorism/terrorists is on and retreating to within one's own borders is not going to help.

I recommend an accidental atomic explosion in multiple locations.

Depends on what you believe, don't it.

I recommed the explosions be limited to the whole middle east excluding Israel.
