Given Tokyo's high home burglary rate, wouldn't it be better to sell these coated in white vinyl and hide them in plain sight in middle of the bedroom floor?

Ah - good use for the glut of gold!! But gold is so soft that if you drop them on your toe it will leave an inprint (on the gold, not your toe)
