FGs! Friends! Tech-heads! Lend me your brains!

I'm up for a help-desk position at a major J-automotive manufacturer.

They needed someone with tech skills and spoke Japanese.

They didn't require me to have any sort of certification, but to get a permanent contract, I would need it.

How would YOU recommend I get A+ certification? (useless really, but means more money)
Also, what other certs would you recommend?

No can do kemosabe.
I get a message,
We're sorry, but users outside the UK cannot access The IT Crowd.

I know the METHOD on how to get around it, but right now I am too sleepy to search for it and we can't discuss it on here.

Once I'm IN, I'll ask them.

And who said anything about Honda? ;)

Hey Techheads,
I also may need to ask for help with the Japanese translations of certain technical concepts.

Meaning, how do I say a certain thing in Japanese to make it understood.

If I need help, I'll post it in this thread.

Dude, I thought you were going into the service. What happened with that?

That is in process. I have to lose weight and get into shape before I apply for the program.

I also need to eat and get rid of some debt too. Military doesn't like its officers to have outstanding debts.

I think A+ has improved quite a bit over the past few years. I'm not sure if it is worth it from a knowledge standpoint, but if they will pay more for it then that makes it worth it for you!

As for other certs... Well, it depends on what you are supporting. If you are supporting MS products then MS certs are what you should get. If it is Cisco, then Cisco... No point in taking certs for things that you aren't working with.

Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Dictionaries

Postby American Oyaji » Wed Mar 29, 2006 12:30 pm

Okay, I'm gonna need top of the line dictionaries.

price is not an object.

What is the ABSOLUTE best English to Japanese dictionary that you have used? I mean exhaustive.

What is the best Japanese to English? (I have a pretty good one by Kodansha right now, but I can't seem to find a really good E-J one)
