LDP to change engrish name to F'edDP

LDP may change English name as 'liberal' doesn't match policies: officials

In the 90's, the LDP tried to introduce a nickname for the party. For some reason, they chose "JF". The press release said that JF didn't stand for anything in particular and supporters were free to come up with their own ideas like "Japan Friend" and "Japan Freedom". I can't find any articles on the net but the Japanese Wikipedia entry for JF still refers to it as a short name for the party.
