Move To Japan? Gloom, Despair, Agony On Me

Sad image of immigrants to Japan

By OLAF KARTHAUS

As politicians, bureaucrats, think tanks and university professors have found out, the falling birthrate in Japan will lead to labor shortages and related problems. But why do so many newspaper articles point out the negatives of increased immigration? Here are just recent two exmples....

Is this the image of us that needs to be promoted? We foreigners are not working mules from which the owner should fear a bite. We are humans, are positive, often have families, and want to live a happy life in safety, too. Seeing increased immigration equated with increased crime really hurts!

If memory serves correct, Olaf, who is a mate of Debito, was one of the co-plaintiffs in the Otaru Onsen case!

BTW HSH, nice dog! Is she seeing anybody?

And for a bonus point, can you name the third co-plaintiff?

There's a lot of Russian on that sign - I wonder if it all started because SovietSupreme left a floater after a big night on the vodka!

Ken Sutherland has left Japan to my knowledge (of which I have none). I sincerely suspect Soviet Supreme and his lack of knowledge of J customs is the real reason I can't get into the local onsen, besides wanting to wash my dog along with me.

(Sorry GB she is spoken for, I always grab the good ones).

Will be filing suit shortly.
