I just got some Etymotic ER6i in-ear phones, and aside from the disconcerting feeling of shoving the earplugs halfway up into your brain, they sound great. I can listen to my iPod at much lower volumes and I get much better audio quality than the standard earbuds. I highly endorse in-ear phones. But Sony will have a lot of work to do, to beat Etymotic, they are the standard against which all others are judged.
