Two face charges over Tokyo Bay collision
Crisscross - News -Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 16:38 EDT
YOKOHAMA ---The Yokosuka Coast Guard Office sent papers to prosecutors Wednesday on the captain of a Filipino vessel and a crew member of a Japanese freighter over the collision of their vessels in Tokyo Bay last week.
Coast guard officials identified them as Gilberto Tolentino, 50, captain of the 6,182-ton Eastern Challenger, and Koichi Chiba, 56, a first officer of the 498-ton Tsugaru Maru. The two men are suspected of professional negligence resulting in the accident ...more....
