Connect directly to your primary router. Pick up an IP from it and note the gateway (probably something like 192.168.x.1).

Connect directly to your secondary router and pick up an IP. Log into it and disable the DHCP on it. After that is done change its IP address to 192.168.x.2. It will probably reboot and you will loose connection to it.

After that run a cable from a LAN port on the primary router to a LAN port on the secondary router.

You should have a full connection now. Your secondary router will act as a switch/access point.

I did some further research on the web and most sites say that the service I am in does not support wireless. Others say that I could. I am confused as hell.

Usen sucks. They are cheap service, but the customer service is full of jerk offs.

Netgear, Japan Inc. exists, so I will contact them tomorrow to configure my wireless router.. Hopefully I will get to the bottom of this. I think it has something to do with the conflicting IP addresses of the NEC VOIP modem and the wireless router.. both being 192.168.0.1 and I am sure the dns server settings and whatevers need to tweaked as well. All those settings and the meanings are something I don't really understand.

Big Booger, I tried changing the IP on the VOIP modem but it won't let me. I think it's hardwired. Fuckin NEC.. everything from TV's to mobile phones.. horrible ass products they continue to make.

I shouldve just signed up with the slightly more expensive Yahoo BB. Now I am stuck with Usen for the next 1 year. Fuck!

I have my Linksys Wlan router working just as I did before I had Hikari Fiber.

Denwa of course comes out of the router that came with my Hikari connection.

I left all of my connection settings at default on the primary (hikari router), and then connected to my seconday (WLAN router) as I would a PC. I then could use my secondary router as normal. Having it make the PPOE connection.

Thanks guys. I got it to work after calling up Netgear. The gal guided me through the steps and they had really great customer service. The hell with the douche bag customer support at Usen.

What I had to do on the wireless router was:
1. Change the IP address to 192...xx.1 to 192.xx..100 in the LAN TCP/IP
2. Disable the DHCP Server option
3. Hook the ethernet cable from the VOIP to one of the 4 LAN ports on the wireless router and not the WAN port.
4. Restart PC

Tada.. it worked.
