Fujii, now 26, was sent to prison in the fall of 2002 after pleading guilty to manslaughter for the deaths of her children, Gemini, three months, and Domenic, 15 months.

...The National Parole Board issued the ruling after a hearing for Rie Fujii in Edmonton Thursday morning.
Officials say Fujii doesn't have a clear understanding of what led to her crime and didn't have a good plan for life after prison.
Fujii says she was a sick person in 2001 when she left her babies alone in her apartment for 10 days with only a bottle each.
The 26-year-old says she has received counselling in prison and she has change.....
Fujii came to Canada in 1997 on a visitor's visa and briefly attended a Calgary college.

The Province, Vancouver Canada - June 3... By the time she had been gone a week, she wasn't expecting Gemini and Domenic to be alive when she got home, Fujii acknowledged.
"I was hoping they were still alive but when I thought about it, they could have been dead."...
At her trial, court heard that when Fujii finally returned to her apartment, she held Domenic to warm him to see if he would wake up.
But eventually she put Gemini in a garbage bag and put her in a dumpster. She wrapped Domenic in a blanket and left his body in the apartment and returned to Cochrane.
Domenic's decomposing body was discovered June 5, 2001, when the landlord came to collect rent and was overwhelmed by a sickening odour.....
If she had been released, Fujii would have been subject to a deportation order. Tropak said the board was also concerned about her plan to return to Japan and live with her parents with no provision for any kind of legal supervision.
Fujii can reapply for parole in six months. Her sentence ends in March 2008.

Does Canada have a death penalty? If so this whore should be strung up for killing two babies. In Japan, they'd have not given out her name cause that would violate her privacy right... She'd also be free in 1-5 months on good behavior..

I think she should be sterilized, to prevent her from having any more children. I think she should be locked up forever if no death penalty exists. But at least prevent her from having any more children. She lost her right to be a parent after she killed those babies.

Why are child killers not sterilized? Both men and women. Men should be castrated. This would at least stop them from ever doing this type of crap o their own children in the future.

The National Parole Board informed Rie Fujii on Wednesday that when her statutory release date kicks in on Monday, immigration authorities will pick her up and begin the process to get her out of Canada.
