Certificate of Elegibility

Postby vitellus » Sat May 06, 2006 12:09 am

Does anybody know where I can download the application form that a company needs to fill in and send to the immigration bureau if they want to request a certificate of elegibility for a foreigner? would they provide you with a copy if you went directly to the immigration bureau in Tokyo?

I think the form is the same nationally]http://www.kyushu-kei.org/english/zairyu.html[/url]

Sample:

The Tokyo MOFAs tell you:
An application is usually made by a proxy in Japan at the nearest regional immigration authority (listed in Appendix 3) to the proxy's place of residence in Japan. - http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/03.html
Again, I think the form is the same... But don't quote me on that...

thanks a lot for that. I am looking for a job in Japan but I do not have a work visa yet. As a lot of companies will not hire you if you do not have a work visa, I may need to persuade them that the obtaining this certificate is not so complicated.

I take that back. It looks pretty daunting.
