Cosplay party? Kinda urgent.

Postby Tuzz » Mon May 01, 2006 10:32 am

Hi. I'm really into my cosplay, and I was wondering if anyone had any information about any parties or events in Tokyo on Tuesday or Wednesday? Sorry for the short notice, I'm going home soon and only just thought of this a minute ago.

Thanks in advance!

I think you're in luck. I understand that the 2006 Theme-Terrorist Party (the "T-T-Party") is on at Narita Airport both days.

Obvious outfits include Osama and Sadam but try to be a bit more creative. If any security stop you, just say: "I'm here for the T-T-Party" (and say it quick, while pretending to squeeze 2 oranges in front of you - much more fun).

Here's the badge you need to print and paste on your outfit somewhere to gain entry.

Good luck.

I haven't been to Japan yet, so the best advice I can give you is to ask someone at a manga shop or one of the cosplay supply stores. My Japanese is pretty crappy, but I believe they refer to cosplay as "Kospure". Best consult your dictionary to help with asking around.

If I was looking to see if any cosplay events were happening, I'd ask at one of the Mandarake stores. There's one in the Nakano Broadway mall, one in Shibuya, and I think there's one in Shinjuku. They all specialize in cosplay, and other assorted otaku things.

Yes, it's really urgent to make it to those cosplay parties. They truly are important events that cannot be missed. Woebetide the person who misses the day to dress up like a cartoon character and prance around wearing make up, dyed hair and pink clothing. It's that important.

Kamome,
Why did you reply if all you were going to do was cast derision on the guy?
He's not trying to be obnoxious he's just asking a question.

Kurohinge, why did you bother to reply if all you were going to do was the same thing? Kamome might have been sarcastic , but what you posted was hateful and vicious as hell. You don't have to like otaku and other assorted geeks, but you don't have to knee jerk bash someone either.

That's the nature of FG, dude. If you're an otaku and can't take the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen.

Wow. A very dramatic interpretation of my post, Pencilslave. It certainly didn't read that way to me, and nor was it meant to. Was it the bit about the oranges that upset you? Was the badge too much?

I apologise if that's how Tuzz took it but, personally, I don't think you're giving the guy enough credit.

Nevertheless, consider me chastised.

Wow, Kuro is that the same as chastity? You got one of them belts and everything?

No wonder you would cast accusations at perfectly normal people who like to dress up like the tooth fairy and get breech loaded in one of the koshu benjos at Yoyogi park!

Prancing persnickety perverts pining for a plethora of petite pink-pantied powder puffs.
