it's prolly not even a real mole but one of those "cosmetic" ones that with a bit of scratching will fall right... which is about as much credit as i'd give said study :?
so, does that mean if a girl is raised in a 'penis environment' then she'll be gay too

In my opinion

Postby cliffy » Wed Jun 28, 2006 2:29 am

This sounds like a "Grant renewal study" i.e. My grant is running out and I need to have a great reason for a renewal.

In my limited experience most of these 'Revolutinary' findings are reversed or savagely downgraded in the follow-up study.

"...A man's sexual orientation may be determined by conditions in the womb, according to a study...."

Does that mean if I plunge my johnson into sloppy womb, I'll become gay?

Had a mate that was a real bird basher. Came to Japan and now he'd rather hear a fat boy fart than a pretty girl sing. I don't know what happened, could have been eating the meal at womb temperature?

Nope it means that all men are and will be born gay until they invent a way to produce a male baby in a womb-less environment. (however, isn't that what millitant gay men are wanting to do.. ironic isn't it?) :p

The study is flawed in its conclusions. According to this study, statistically the last male child born into a family of all boys has a higher probability of homosexual behavior, something that was not shown in a mixed-sex environment. In addition, the study showed that the same thing was not true in the case of step or foster children, leading the researchers to grasp for something that can explain what they found with enough punch to guarantee further funding.

Like the mythical "ether" of 19th-century physics, this is absolute crap, and without a shred of proof other than the probability claims. Where is the chemical that causes it? Can it be reproduced?

Here's my pie-in-sky theory: youngest sons are pampered by their natural mothers while ignored by their fathers. Stepchildren are not a factor because the family dynamic is different.

My conclusion offers as much evidence as their conclusion (read: none) other than the statistics provided by this study.

Sorry about that! That should have read that he would "rather hear a fat boy fart, than a pretty girl sing", but unfortunately this thread does not always display that handy edit button for those of us that type with our feet! It has been repaired. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Actually most of these studies make me nautious as they are looking for a "cause" for homeosexuality.... then this stretches to finding a "cure" and this is what I find nausiating.

How about exploring some tolerance and celebrate the myriad of variety and differences in our species that adds to the colour of the human condition.
