Soldering work in Tokyo

Postby billyDe » Sun Jul 09, 2006 1:01 am

Does anyone know where I can find a company that solders? I need some basic soldering done for my test equipment and I'm not about to learn how to do it. I'd probably end up buring down my office building. Any ideas fellow FG's? Needed ASAP.

Thanks

I'm not exactly sure of the terminology. I need a ribbon soldered to a PWB (or PCB in foreign countries). There are 28 wires that have to be individually soldered. I don't need high volume since it's just for my own test equipment. I'd like to get about 20 done because they break easily when hooking them up. The job involves hooking and emulator up to a peice of equipment. At one end of the emulator is a prom, the other end is a PWB that hooks to a PC. If you're capable, send me a PM with your contact info. Of course I'm willing to pay.

Oh, that kind of soldering. I can do just normal wires and make some light art, like my BBQ dragon feature for Brucie boy.

I see that you are a webmaster but your company does soldering too? I'm a bit confused. If the soldering isn't too complicated, I may know of some students who can help and they'll probably ask aroun JPY1000 - 1500 / hour. If you hit up those temp agencies, theyll charge you more for the same quality work.

I do some web stuff on the side. Our main business is broadcast video equipment which is what I need the soldering for. Our company doesn't do soldering...or else I wouldn't be asking:)

We're calling around today to see what we can find with the Japanese. I thought I'd give the FG forum a shot.
