Some minor (?) corrections

Postby berrieberrie » Mon Jul 10, 2006 1:47 am

The Lamborghini shown is in use in Italy ("Polizia" isn't German), and the Audi TT certainly isn't Spanish (Rendorseg is Hungarian for "Police"). Don't get me started on the "English" Porsche: the steering wheel is on the wrong side, the alarm number in the UK isn't 911 and Bloomfield Hills is located in Michigan, USA. Now, I know Europe must look like one big bowl of jumbo to most people, but still... who made up this crap ? And why the h*** am I even replying here  ?

That's not a Lancer Evolution in that picture... it's a Skyline GT-R (2000-ish).

Not sloppiest. It's rather good. Problem is that it is too sharp.

As for that "English Porsche". It's a Corvette.

And that "Lancer", I thought was a Skyline but I wasn't sure.

And what is that plastic shield on the hood?

Sorry, just a copy and paste from email including the wording. Didn't know that they are all wrong. (result of posting things that I don't know) Next time I will be more careful in posting. Thanks for letting me know.

Lighten up, we're just pulling your leg :D ! Besides, I liked the Audi - hadn't seen that one in Hungary yet.

I remember reading an article in the SMH about it being used in Italy and the amusing thing was that if they arrested anyone, they had to wait for an ordinary patrol car to turn up to take them away, as they're only a two-seater.

I coudn't find the original article, but here's another one with a bit of background about the generous donation by the House of Sant'Agata Bolognese: Lamborghini Gallardo for Italian Police

I also discovered a Japanese Police car version:

So the next one I bought was Prowl, just because he is the coolest out of the lot in car mode really - a white, clean, crisp Lamborghini with some Japanese writing on the side.

Pity the same can't be said for his robot mode, which isn't too bad I suppose, but there are certainly no excuses for the catastrophe that is his left arm. God knows what's going on, but the poor bastard won't be able to pick anything up with the rear of the car stuck to his forearm and covering his fist.

Still, this disadvantage probably allows him to use the disabled car parking spaces at Sainsbury's, so every cloud does have a silver lining after all.

Yes, all patrol cars in Japan have lights like that... or at least the nice ones do.

There are no nice patrol cars in Japan any more. Especially when they're in your rear view mirror. Used to be a day when you could play the FG card, but not any longer!
